How to Choose a Las Vegas Vacation Home for a Large Group (8 to 30 Guests)
Getting a big group to Las Vegas is the easy part. Keeping everyone together once you arrive is the hard part. Book a block of hotel rooms and your group ends up spread across floors and towers, with no shared kitchen and nowhere to gather except a casino bar. A private vacation home fixes that: one front door, one pool, one living room where the whole crew meets up before a night out.
777 Rentals has been renting Las Vegas group vacation homes since 2007. Here’s how to choose the right one for your group, organized by the thing that matters most: how many people you’re bringing.
Step 1: Start with bedrooms, not just “sleeps”
“Sleeps 30” can mean 30 people with real beds or 30 people counting sofa beds and bunks. For adult groups especially, count bedrooms first and check the bed configuration second. Every 777 Rentals property page has a Bed Configuration section listing what’s in each room, so you can see where the bunks are before you book.
A good rule of thumb: decide how many people need a private room (couples, the bride or groom, grandparents), and pick a home with at least that many bedrooms.
Small-to-mid groups (8 to 16 guests)
- South Strip Comfort: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 8. Its listing notes it’s just a couple of miles from the airport, and it has a heated pool, hot tub, basketball court, and pool table. That’s a lot of home for a smaller group.
- Wet and Wild Convenience: 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 14, with a pool, hot tub, and pool table. The listing puts it about 8 miles west of the Strip.
- Serenity 1 Estate and Serenity 2 Estate: 7 bedrooms each, sleeping 16. Both have a pool and hot tub and are listed about 7–8 miles from Mandalay Bay, roughly a 10-minute drive. Serenity 1 is a one-story home, which helps when your group includes older relatives.
- Westside Luxury: 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, sleeps 16, with a pool and basketball court. With 8 bedrooms for 16 guests, it’s easy to give most people a room of their own.
Mid-to-large groups (17 to 25 guests)
- Southwest Ranch: 7 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, sleeps 20. The listing puts it about 3 miles southwest of the Strip, so getting to the Strip and back is a short trip.
- Vegas Resort: 5 bedrooms, 4 baths, sleeps 21. It’s described as a private 1-acre resort-style estate about 15 minutes from the Strip, with a pool, hot tub, and pool table.
- Southwest Castle: 8 bedrooms, 6 baths, sleeps 24. It’s about 3 miles southwest of the Strip, with a pool and pool table.
The biggest groups (25 to 30 guests)
This is where 777 Rentals specializes: homes with 10 or more bedrooms, which are hard to find anywhere near the Strip.
- TUF House: 11 bedrooms, 8 baths, sleeps 30. It has a pool that’s usable all year, a hot tub, and a pool table.
- West Strip Paradise: 10 bedrooms, 7 baths, sleeps 30, on about 1 acre, listed as about 2 miles west of Mandalay Bay. It has a pool, hot tub, and pool table. Its listing notes it served as the filming house for TUF 33 and TUF 34.
- Bowling Villa: 11 bedrooms, 12 baths, sleeps 30, with its own private bowling alley plus indoor and outdoor basketball courts, a heated pool, and a hot tub. If your group wants entertainment on site, this is the one.
- Sport Court Estate, West Valley Estate, and Southwest Estate: 7–8 bedroom homes with pools. Sport Court Estate (7 bedrooms) and West Valley Estate (8 bedrooms) each sleep 30; Southwest Estate (7 bedrooms) sleeps 26. Sport Court Estate and West Valley Estate both have basketball courts. Sport Court Estate is listed about 3 miles west of the Strip; Southwest Estate is about 4 miles southwest and has a heated pool and hot tub.
Step 2: Decide what “fun at the house” means
For many groups, the house is half the trip. Narrow your choices by amenity:
- Pool time: the Pool page lists every home with a private pool. Several (including TUF House, West Strip Paradise, and Serenity 1 Estate) list a pool that’s usable all year, and Bowling Villa, Southwest Estate, and South Strip Comfort list a heated pool.
- Games and sports: basketball courts at Bowling Villa, Sport Court Estate, West Valley Estate, Westside Luxury, and South Strip Comfort; pool tables at most of the larger homes; and Bowling Villa’s private bowling alley.
- Bringing the dog: see the Pet-Friendly page. The homes listed there allow pets, so nobody needs a kennel.
Step 3: Consider the luxury estates for milestone trips
For weddings, milestone birthdays, or company retreats, 777 Rentals also offers five partner-owned Luxury Estates, booked by inquiry:
- D&D Estate: 12 bedrooms, 13 baths, sleeps 30.
- C&C Estate: 9 bedrooms, two pools, a double waterfall, slide, spa, swim-up bar, and cave cabana.
- O&O Estate: 9 bedrooms on about 6,800 sq ft, with a heated resort-style pool, waterfall, slide, and spa.
- E&E Estate: 7 bedrooms, a 4,000+ sq ft home on a private, double-gated circular drive.
- U&U Estate: 8 bedrooms, 8 baths.
Each estate lists a dedicated workspace, which helps if the trip mixes work and play.
Step 4: Check distance to where you’ll actually be
“Near the Strip” means different things to different groups. If you’ll spend most nights on the South Strip, homes listed relative to Mandalay Bay (West Strip Paradise at about 2 miles, Serenity 1 and 2 at about 7–8 miles) make trips there easy. If your group mostly wants to stay in, a bigger property farther out, like Vegas Resort’s 1-acre lot, can be the better pick. Every property page says how far the home is from the Strip, so you can compare.
Step 5: Compare side by side, then book direct
The All Properties page puts sleeps, bedrooms, bathrooms, and price ranges side by side. Once you’ve narrowed it to two or three homes, check dates on each property page. Saw the same home on Airbnb or Vrbo? 777 Rentals says it will beat that price when you book direct.
